The Golden Floridians

We are always seeking new members…

The Golden Floridians, a Senior Club from the town of Warwick, village of Florida, was created some seven years ago out of the need to provide many of our Seniors with a place for their recreation and mental exercising. In doing so we created many programs that brought them, not only leisure, but also a place where they can participate in activities that enrich their lives in many ways, eg. Games such as bingo, mahjong,  dominoes, a variety of card games; trips to places of interest and educational such as Museums, manufacturing places such as Glass Works and many others; Theatrical events, etc. We also celebrate in our club special dates such as St Patrick, Valentines and others with special catered dinners. On other occasions we will have contests as to the best creation in terms of particular food easy for the members to do, etc. ice cream socials are a most appreciated event. From time to time we engage the services of speakers on topics of interest. We will also, at times,  travel to places such as Canada, New England States and other locations of interest requiring overnight stays. We also do travel to casinos, as this is a popular destination for our Seniors.

The Golden Floridians operate under the direction of its Board of Directors Members consisting of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and members of the different Committees.  This is carried out according to the By-Laws as established at the formation of the Club,  and subsequent amendments.

We, the entire membership, meet every other Wednesday, at the Seward Senior  Center, Cohen Circle, Florida, NY 10921, from 1 to 2 PM. The non-meeting Wednesdays called Game day,  members have the use of the Club for their entertainment and relaxation.
